When working on a ladder, ensure one hand
is firmly on the ladder or if this is not
possible undertake extra safety precautions.
20)
Do not use the ladder UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
in dirty or dusty environments. The penetration of
‘foreign matter’ can make extending and collapsing
the ladder difficult.
21)
Do not immerse the ladder under water UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES since it will thereby be damaged and
extending and collapsing it will be made difficult.
22) When using the ladder, do not touch or manipulate the
locking mechanism UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
23)
Do not use the extended ladder
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES if it is
not absolutely certain that the locking
bolts of all the extended rungs are
completely engaged.
24)
Do not collapse/shorten the ladder only partially
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
ALWAYS push back all rungs and completely collapse the
ladder before again extending it to the desired length.
25)
Do not open / extend the ladder from a middle or upper
rung. This could lead to the locking bolts not completely
engaging, which can lead to injuries.
Do not work on the ladder for long periods without
regular breaks (fatigue is a risk).
12)
14)
15)
Do not impose a side loading, e.g.
when drilling into masonry and concrete.
Take precautionary measures to ensure
that children cannot play on the ladder.
9)

19)
Lock doors (but not emergency exits)
and windows in the working area,
wherever possible.
Any objects to be carried while
climbing up the ladder should be
light and easy to handle.
Ascend and descend facing the ladder.
Only one person may be on the ladder
or on one side of the ladder.
Ensure you have a firm handhold on the
ladder when climbing up and down.
13)
Do not use the ladder as a bridge.
27)
Pay attention to the position and place-
ment of the hands when the telescopic
ladder is again being collapsed.
Ensure you have a firm handhold on the
ladder when climbing up and down.
26) Do not move the ladder when someone is standing on it.
