The PC intended for connection to the Interface Box 29122 must comply with the relevant product standard for
such equipment, (e.g., IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1 for IT equipment).
The interface box operates from 115 VAC or 230 VAC power. Make sure that the power is correct
before connecting to a power supply. A green power LED is illuminated when the box is plugged into
the power source.

The model 29122 interface box must be used to connect the 3650EX instrument to a personal
computer (PC) as illustrated in
. This unit converts TTL digital signals from the instrument to
RS-232 compatible signals.
Place it on a clean flat surface, and convenient to the power source.
3.2 Power supply

A power cable can be ordered with the instrument and this cable must be used to connect the instrument to the
power supply. If no power cable was ordered, please contact your Hach Lange representative for cable
specifications. Inadequately dimensioned power cables must not be used.

Always use a power cable with a connection to protective earth (PE).
C A U T I O N
Check voltage requirement sticker on the rear panel of the instrument before connecting (100-240 VAC).
Two cables are supplied with the model 29122 interface box:
• A model 32511 cable for connection between the 3650EX instrument LEMO-6 connector and the
interface box.
• A model 32538 cable for connection between the interface box and the PC.
The connections should be made as indicated in
