3.5.2
Creating a User Program Based on a Hach Program
To save the settings for Reagent Blank, Dilution Factor, Units & Form, and
Standard Adjust from an existing Hach Program, create a User Program based
on the Hach Program. These settings will then be available every time the User
Program is opened. User Programs based on Hach Programs cannot be edited
the same as original User Programs.
To save Hach Program settings as a User Program, touch
Options
, then
Save as
User Program
. Follow the prompt to assign a number and a name to the
program. Then the program will be listed in the list of User Programs until it is
deleted or replaced.

Correcting for a Diluted Sample
A dilution factor is used to adjust for a variety of properties such as specific
gravity and sample weight
.
Note:
When a dilution is in effect, the dilution icon will appear on the reading screen.
3.5.4
Changing the Chemical Form
Some Hach Programs allow a variety of chemical forms. When multiple options
are available, units or chemical forms can be changed in two ways:
To enter a dilution factor, touch

Dilution Factor
. The number entered at the dilution
factor prompt will be multiplied by the result to compensate for the
adjustment. For example, if the sample has been diluted by a factor
of 2, enter 2. The default setting of the dilution factor is 1,
corresponding to no dilution.
