Advanced Operations
Setting the Time and Interval
1. From the Options, press
TIME & INTERVAL
.
2. Input the total time and the reading time and press
OK
.
Note: In total 500 measuring steps are possible. If a total time and a time
interval is selected that would cause this number of measurements to be
exceeded, the time interval is defined automatically and the
OK
key is
inactivated.
Setting the S cale and Units
1. From the Options menu, press
SCALE & UNITS
.
2. Select Abs or %T as the required units.
3. Select Auto or Manual scaling on the graph´s y-axis.
Note: If manual scaling is selected, use the alphanumeric keypad to set the
limits y
min.

. The graph is adjusted to display only the values in the
selected range. If automatic scaling is selected, the instrument sets the
limits automatically so that the total range can be displayed.
4. Press
OK
to confirm.
5. Press
RETURN
to return to the scan mode.

Option Description
Store (folder) icon Stores the scanned data.
Time & Interval Enters the total time for data collection and the time interval between the collection of data points.

(Wavelength) Enters the wavelength setting.
View Table
Displays readings in absorbance or % transmittance. This can be changed after sample data are
collected
Scale & Units
Scale: In the automatic scaling mode, the y-axis is automatically adjusted so that the total range is
displayed. The manual scaling mode allows sections of the scan to be displayed.
Units: Choice of absorbance or % transmittance.
Send Data Sends data to a printer, computer, or USB memory stick.
Recall Data Recalls saved measurement data, wavelength scans, or time courses ( section 5.3 on page 28 ).
