cases in which the removal or insertion of the runner at the top end is
not necessary. A fixed end stop can be mounted here.
The safety tongues on the end stops must fall automatically into their
protective position by virtue of their own weight. The passage of the fall
protection runner must be prevented when the end stops are in protec-
tive position. It must furthermore be checked whether the fall protec-
tion runner can only be inserted in the correct direction.
3.3 Removal areas
The pivoting removal flap permits the user to remove or insert the fall
protection runner within a fall protection system. The locking bolt on
the back is pulled backwards to use the pivoting removal flap. This en-
ables the section of guide rail to be rotated as far as pos-
sible in a clockwise direction so that the fall protection
runner can be inserted from above or can be removed
from the top. The fall protection runner cannot be insert-
ed from below or removed from the bottom because this
is prevented by an arrester. Once the process has been
completed the removal flap is rotated in an anticlockwise
direction back to the protective position until the locking
bolt engages. To permit removal, the fall protection run-
ner must be located centrally on the pivoting section of
guide rail.
