6. Exhaust gases leaking:
a) The supply pressure is too low
b) Blockage or backward flow in the chimney
c) Conditions in the building such as
windows and doors (too well) sealed. If for
example a door is opened, this causes a
temporary pressure drop in the room and the
chimney no longer draws air.
d) Exhaust gas leaking from the flue door when
opened.
e) Extractor hood is switched on.

7. Cinder buildup:
a) Overload of the stove by heating
with an open flue door
b) Non-combustible components in the
fuel.

b ) Flues or exhaust gas pipe clogged with soot.
