CAUTION
To prevent accidental
electrical shock, a positive
earth ground is required.
1. Always verify electrical specifications
on the data plate of each individual
freezer. Data plate specifications will
always supersede the information in
this manual.
2. Supply voltage must be within ± 10%
of voltage indicated on the dat a
plate. Also, on three-phase systems,
voltage between phases must be
balanced within 2%. (More than a 6
volt difference between any two
voltage measurements at 208-230
volts indicates a possible imbal-
ance.) Request the local power
company to correct any volt age
problem.
3. A main power disconnect must be
supplied and should be:
a. easily accessible
b. within sight of the freezer
c. provided for all poles of the
wiring to the freezer
d. installed in the line ahead of the
unit connections.
Use a disconnect box rated for the
amperage noted on the data plate of
the freezer. Provide a separately-
fused disconnect switch for each
side of the unit.
4. Use flexible connections, if possible.
All connections must conform to
local code requirements and be in
compliance with the National Electric
Code.
5. Use fuses or HACR type circuit
breakers not exceeding the maxi-
mum rating allowed on the data plate
on the back panel of the freezer.
6. If the 115V receptacles on the
freezer are to be used, a sep arate
115V power supply is required to be
connected to the freezer service
connection box marked for 115V.
5.3 Electrical Requirements
