MAINTENANCE
•
Refer all servicing only to qualified individual.
•
Disconnect the power supply and wait until the fan has stopped before working on the unit. Inside the
device, voltage and current are dangerous.
•
Regularly remove the steel cover and blow off the dust with compressed air. Check the electrical
connections (with an insulated tool) by a qualified individual.
•
Regularly inspect the power cable. If it suffers damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after
sales service or a similarly qualified technician to avoid any danger.
ADVICE
•
Respect welding polarities and currents indicated on the electrode packaging
•
Remove the electrode from the electrode holder when you do not use it.
•
Leave the inlets free to allow in/out air circulation.
SECURITY
Arc welding can be dangerous and result in serious injury or death. Protect yourself and protect
others.
Respect the following warnings:
Arc rays
Protect yourself with a welding helmet equipped with filters in compliance with EN 169 or
EN 379.
Rain, steam,
humidity
Put the appliance in a clean environment (degree of pollution ≤ 3), on an even plataform and
at least at one meter from the parts to be welded. Do not use it in rain or snow.
Electric shocks
This device must be used on a single phase power outlet with 3-wire with grounded neutral.
Do not touch live parts. Check that the supply system is suitable for the device.
Handling
Do not carry the device over people or fragile items.
Burns
Wear suitable protective clothing.
Use fire-proof gloves and apron.
Protect others by installing a non flammable protection wall, or prevent others accidentally
viewing the arc and to keep a safe distance from the welding area.
Fire risks
Remove all flammable products from the working area. Do not work near flammable gas.
Smokes
Do not inhale gas or welding fumes. If indoors ventilate the area well and/or use local
extraction ventilation equipment to remove fumes and gases.
Extra
precautions
Any welding operation:
- in environments with increased risk of electric shock,
- in confined spaces,
- in the presence of flammable or explosive materials, must be evaluated in advance by an
“Expert supervisor” and must always be carried out in the presence of other people trained to
intervene in case of emergency.
Technical protection measures MUST BE taken as described in the TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATION "IEC 62081".
Welding in raised positions is forbidden unless safety platforms are used.
Persons with a pacemaker have to consult a doctor before using these machines
Do not use the unit to thaw pipes /tubing.
In TIG welding, manipulate the gas bottle carefully. There are risks if the bottle or the bottle
valve are damaged.
