Install software: E4200:
Pure Management Console
This section will guide you to install the software for the
E4200 Control Workstation
to
work purely as a
managment console
for GVD
Central Management Platform
.
A copy of the
VMS Manager
is preinstalled when an
E4200 Control Workstation
is
delivered. You need to remove and replace it with a newer copy as guided below:
1. Make sure you have set up a
directory server
in the
platform
, set up the hardware of
E4200 Control Workstation
as described in
Install hardware and power on E4200
from page
.
2. Uninstall the preinstalled
VMS Manager
from your
E4200
Control Workstation
:
(1). Click Windows
®
Start
button |
Control Panel
|
Programs
|
Programs and
Features
.
(2). Right-click on an entry named
GVD VMS Manager 3.x.x
.
(3). Click the
Uninstall/change
command that shows.
(4). Click the
Yes
button to confirm the uninstallation. Then follow the onscreen
instructions to go through the uninstallation.
(5). Restart the system.
