Below are some important tips for using
your new hob and cookware in an
energy-saving and e
ffi
cient way.
The bottom of the pot should be
the same size or only very slightly
larger than the diameter of the
cooking zone.
When buying pots, note that
frequently the diameter at the top
of the pot is indicated. The
diameter at the top of the pot,
however, is generally larger than
the bottom of the pot.
Due to their closed cooking
chamber and the pressure,
pressure cookers are particularly
rime and energy e
ffi
cient. Short
cooking time preserves vitamins.
Always make sure there is a
su
ffi
cient amount of liquid in a
pressure cooker, because if the
cooker is empty, the hob and the
cooker can be damaged by
overheating.
If possible, always close pots with
the matching lid.
Use the right pot for the quantity
of food to be cooked.
Use the residual heat. Switch o
ff
the appliance a little earlier and
leave the cake to cook for another
5 minutes.
