Machine-specific safety instructions
Switch the machine off and unplug it before any work on
the cutting mechanism.
If the feeder cable gets cut off or damaged when in
operation, do not touch it in any case but deactivate the
fuse of the respective electrical circuit.
Never use the machine with a damaged cable.
Wear protective gloves, protective glasses,
earphones, solid shoes and long trousers.
Any longer shredded material protruding from the machine
may get thrown off by impact when being pulled in so keep
a safety distance and work carefully.
Watch the rotating cutting knife. Never put your hands
and feet to the opening.
Make sure bystanders are not hit or injured by
thrown-off items.
Keep bystanders in safe distance from the machine.
Wait until all parts of the machine stop before touching
them.
Never use the machine when raining.
Never stand on the collection box.
Never touch in the feeding hopper when the machine
is being operated. After switching the machine off, it keeps
running for some more seconds.
Children and persons not familiarised with the machine
and persons with limited physical, sensory and mental
skills must not operate the machine.
Before starting the machine, it must be assembled based
on the instructions attached.
Use the FI switch and check it whenever you are going to
use it.
Extension cables protected against spraying water and
recommended for outdoor use to be used only.
Never touch the plug and outlet by damp or wet
hands.
Never run over and jam or jerk or pull the feeder and
extension cable. Protect the cable against excess
temperatures, oil and sharp edges.
No persons or animals may be present within 3
metres when the machine is being operated. The operator
is responsible to other persons in the working area.
Original accessory equipment to be used only.
Do not wear any loose clothing, long laces and ties.
Use the machine in a free space with level and solid
surface.
Never use the machine on a paved and gravel
surface. Any thrown-off material may cause injuries.
Before putting the machine into operation, check all
screws, nuts and other fixing parts if tightened and check
all the protective equipment if fitted properly. Replace any
damaged or illegible warning and information plates.
Before starting the machine, make sure the feeding hopper
is empty.
Keep your face and body beyond feeding hopper reach.
Prevent your hands, other body party and clothing
from getting near the feeding hopper and ejection hole. To
insert a branch in the opening, use the feeding help.
Switch the machine off before collection box hanging or
unhanging.
Provide balance and safe posture at all times. Do not
incline too much forward and never stand higher than the
machine foot when filling.
Keep distance from the ejection zone at all times.
Make sure, with maximum care, that the processed
material does not contain any metal parts, stones, bottles,
tins and other undesirable items.
Switch the machine immediately off if any undesirable item
gets to the cutting mechanism, if the machine makes
strange noise or starts vibrating. Unplug the machine and
proceed as follows:
-
Review the damage
-
Replace any damaged part or have it repaired.
-
Check if the parts are not loosened and tighten
them if necessary.
Never try to repair the machine, even if you are properly
trained in it.
Make sure the processed material does not accumulate in
the ejection shaft as this would prevent the transport and
could cause a backlash in the feeding hopper.
If the machine is blocked, switch it off and wait until the
cutting mechanism stops. Unplug the machine before
taking the shredded material out of the machine.
Make sure the covers and protective equipment are not
damaged and check them if fitted properly. Provide any
necessary servicing or repair before using the machine.
Never try to change the engine speed settings. Contact a
professional in case of any problem.
At all times, keep the ventilation slots with no remains and
other deposits to prevent engine damage and possible fire.
Never lift or carry the machine when the engine is running.
Switch the machine off and wait until the cutting
mechanism stops. Unplug the machine when leaving the
place of your work.
Never tilt the machine when being operated.
Never expose the machine to rain and moisture. Keep the
machine in a dry place only.
Never try to put the emergency switch-off out of service.
