6.6 LEDs
Vega DX/AM is fitted with a RED and a YELLOW LED. The
YELLOW LED provides the following indications:
1. Power Up Sequence:
Flashing alternately with the RED
LED for approximately 5 seconds.
2. Alarm Memory:
On continuously to indicate
memorised alarm until reset.
3. Memorised Mask Condition: Flashing continually until reset.
(modes 2,3,4 only)
The RED LED provides the following indications:
1. Power Up Sequence:
Flashes alternately with the
YELLOW LED for approximately 5
seconds.
2. Alarm Condition:
On for the duration of the alarm
condition when the LED has been
enabled by DIL Switch 1 or the
TEST input is high.
3. Mask Condition:
Flashing for duration of mask
condition plus a further 15 seconds
when enabled.
4. Beamfind Indication:
Short flash when target crosses
boundary of detection zone.
5. Low Voltage Condition:
Flashing on/off every second for the
duration of the low voltage condition.
DIL SWITCH 3.
Pulse Count - The VEGA DX/AM
Volumetric models provide the option of
choosing Pulse Count by setting the switch to
(1). The Curtain and Long Range VEGA
DX/AM models do not allow this option.
Pulse Count can be chosen in environments
prone to false alarms or in good detection
areas. The pulse count option should be
disabled for high security applications.
The sensor is factory pre-set (1) for Pulse
Count.
DIL SWITCH 4.
Control Line Polarity -The sensor has been
factory preset (0) to allow the use of a positive
control line. Should your control panel provide
a negative control line , then the switch
for this option should be set to negative (1).

DIL SWITCH 5.
Latching - L-Type latching is factory preset (0).
F-Type latching can be selected by setting the
DIL switch to (1). See section 7.2 for more
information on this facility.

These switches select the various Anti-Mask
DIL SWITCH 7.
modes available - See Section 7.5 for details.
DIL SWITCH 8.
Beamfind Mode - This option enables/disables
Beamfind Mode. See section 7.4 for a fuller
explanation of this facility. The default
selection is (0) for Beamfind disabled.
