Step 3

Lay the low voltage wire in a trench following a path from the

selected electrical outlet to the control box. Wires coming up

from the ground should be run through PVC conduit to protect

them from lawn mower blades, weed eaters, and grazing

animals. Bury the wire in the trench.

Step 4

Bring enough wire up

through the PVC conduit to

reach the control board.

Step 5

Strip

3

/

" off the ends of the low voltage wire and twist

tightly. Attach these ends to the 14VAC OR SOLAR

terminals located on the terminal block). Be certain not

to let the exposed wires touch each other!
Insert one transformer wire into a 14VAC OR SOLAR

terminal. Insert the other transformer wire into the

remaining 14VAC OR SOLAR terminal. The transformer

wires can be connected to the 14VAC OR SOLAR

terminals regardless of color/polarity.
Tighten set screws against exposed end of wires.

Step 6

At the AC outlet, strip

" of insulation from the ends of the low voltage wire.

Attach these stripped ends to the transformer terminals.

Make sure the exposed wires do not touch each other!

Step 7

Plug the transformer into the electrical outlet. Use of a surge protector with the

transformer is

strongly

 recommended. If electrical outlet is

located outdoors, outlet and transformer should be protected

by a weatherproof cover.
