If the Self-Test output byte is an ASCII O or G, the data tablet passed the diagnostic tests.
(An
O
simply indicates that the stylus/cursor is in proximity. A
G
indicates that it is out-of-
prox.)
Section B: In Case of Failure
If the Bit Pad Two does not operate or fails the Self-Test, follow these steps:
1.
Power down the Bit Pad Two.
2.
Check that cables are firmly attached.
3.
Ensure that the host is working properly.
4.
If possible, issue each diagnostic command and review the results.

Temperature and Humidity
Operate Bit Pad Two within these temperature and humidity ranges:
+45 degrees to +110 degrees Fahrenheit
+7 degrees to +43 degrees Celsius
8% to 80% relative humidity, non-condensing
Acceptable non-operating conditions are:
-45 degrees to +145 degrees Fahrenheit
-43 degrees to +63 degrees Celsius
8% to 80% relative humidity, non-condensing
Extremes in environment can cause degradation of operation.
