40s. Before testing,  3m

5m lengthened heat cable should be reserved for test.

4.  Cut the cable which is put in the water and connect the terminal again, the system

will reset to the normal monitoring state

5.

Check its wiring again when an interface fails to the test, then test it once more. If it

still fails, please return it for repair.

VIII Troubleshooting

Registration Fault: When registering the detector on fire alarm control panel, if

some interfaces cannot be registered, repair according to the following steps.

1

)

Read the code by hand held programmer. Check the address number,

device type, to see whether they meet the design requirement or the code is

repeated. If the programmer fails to read codes, so it’s certain that there are

problems with the interface. If there is no problem with the address number and

device type, check the loop voltage and impedance, see if there is circuit fault.

2

)

For the interface with fault, please contact local office of GST or GST

Company.

The interface gives fault: When the FACP is in normal monitoring state, if the fault

occurs on the interface, repair by the following steps.

1

)

When the FACP is on, check the yellow Fault LED, if lit, there is fault on

the heat cable or its testing circuit and the terminal. If the Fault LED is not on,

press “Clear” on the FACP to see if the Red LED flashes when polling, if the Red

LED stops flashing, there is fault on the interface.

2

)

Turn off the FACP. As for the interface with fault on the heat cable and the

terminal, check if circuit of the heat cable is open and check the resistor

between two connection poles. If it is 10K

, it is normal; if infinite, the terminal is

damaged.

3

)

If there is not open circuit on the heat cable and the terminal after

checking, the interface is in trouble, please return it for repair.

The interface gives false alarm: When the FACP is in normal monitoring state, if the

interface of the detector alarms falsely, repair by the following steps.

1

)

Turn off the FACP: First separate the heat cable and the terminal. Check if

their circuits are shorted separately. If the short circuit occurs to the terminal,

check the internal components; if the short circuit occurs to the heat cable,

please repair the heat cable.

2

)

If short circuit is found on neither heat cable nor the terminal, please

return the interface for repair.

IX Maintenance

Measure the insulating resistor with 500VM

Ω

meter between the two-core cables every

half year. The resistance should be over 500M

Ω

( turn off the power and disconnect the

two ends of the heat cable when testing). If the value is below 500M

Ω

, replace the heat

cable.
