Setting the forward error correction
Setting the transmission channel
In this menu you set the quantity of the data packets to be
transmitted, the forward error correction FEC and the trans-
mission channel. If the forward error correction is used the
data to be transmitted is encoded in a redundant way so that
the addressee can correct transmission errors.
Defining the quantity of data packets
• Using the
buttons define the quantity of MPEG data
packets in one IP data packet (” 1 ” … ” 7 ”).
Setting the forward error correction
• Press the

button to position the cursor under ” off ” .
—> In position ” off ” the forward error correction (FEC) is
switched off.
• Using the buttons set the value of the FEC wished

Setting the transmission channel
• Press the

button to position the cursor under ” Annex… ”.
• Use the buttons to set the transmission channel
wished (” AnnexA ” / ” AnnexB ”).
• Press the button.
—> The “Setting the output IP address” – “ OUT-IP ” menu
is activated.
