Feed Level Winch
1. The feed level winch is pre-assembled and should look like the one shown in
.
NOTE:
The winch is designed to operate by pulling the handle back to raise the feed levels and
lowering them by pulling back on the handle and pressing the adjustment bar down. This will
then allow the handle to move to the forward position. There are four (4) settings on the winch
for feed level adjustment.
The winch is capable of lifting feed levels for a maximum of sixty (60) pan feeders. Winching more
than sixty (60) pans may result in serious injury or equipment failure. For lines that have more than
sixty (60) pans, multiple winches will be required.
2. Determine how many winches will be required for the feed line.
3. To assemble the winch(es) to the feed line, slightly loosen the four (4) bolts on the winch housing and
the two (2) insulator bolts. Begin at the drive unit end of the feed line and align the notch on the winch
with the rib on the tube and slide the winch onto the tube as shown in
. The location of the
winch will vary depending on the length of tube and number of pans being used. Therefore, make
sure the winch is as close as possible to the drive unit without causing any interference. Tighten all
winch bolts and insulator bolts.
4. Equally space and mount the remaining winches to the feed line following the same instructions as
the first.
