Please note

GRUNDIG Environmental Initiative

You will certainly have noticed,

that we have completely avoided the use of
plastic for the packaging of the car radio.
All packaging elements are of
cardboard/paper and may be disposed of in
existing paper recycling systems.

Installation of the unit

These operating instructions assume that
your unit has been correctly connected and
installed by your dealer.

If you wish to install the unit yourself,

please be sure to observe the information in
the chapter

“Installation and removal”

beginning on page 13 as well as the
illustrations at the beginning of the manual.

Identity card

The identity card for your car radio contains
its car radio type, serial number and code
number (see illustration at back of manual).

The serial number is identical to the number
embossed onto the car radio.

The identity card facilitates criminal investiga-
tion by the police in case of radio theft and
speeds settlement of an insurance claim by
providing evidence of ownership.

Keep the card in a safe place, out of reach of
unauthorised persons.

Code label

The code label, placed on the inside of the car
window for high visibility, shows everyone:

the car radio is worthless to thieves!

Traffic safety

Please familiarise yourself with the various
functions of your car radio before you start to
drive.

Volume

Operating your radio at high volume while dri-
ving can endanger you and others. Therefore,
always adjust the volume so that you can still
safely hear outside noises (e.g., car horns,
police and emergency vehicles, etc.).

Telephone connection (mute)

Connect the car telephone or CB radio with
the telephone connection on the car radio (see
page 13, supply voltages: A 2 … telephone
connection).

The car radio is “muted” during the car
phone's or CB radio's operation.
