3.3 SM 111 mounted on a DIN rail
If the SM 111 is to be mounted on a DIN rail, a kit No
96692709 must be fitted on the back of the SM 111.
See page 76.
3.4 SM 111 mounted in the pump
1. See the configuration letter on the pump
nameplate.
2. Set the DIP switch (pos. 11) of the IO 111.
See the installation and operating instructions of
the IO 111.
3. Connect the pump to the IO 111. See the wiring
diagram on page 75.
3.5 SM 111 mounted in a control panel
1. See the wiring diagram of the pump.
2. Connect the sensors as described in section
3. Set the DIP switch (pos. 11) of the IO 111 to
configuration B. See the installation and
operating instructions of the IO 111.
3.6 Connection of sensors

Connection pins
See diagram at the end of this booklet.
4. Start-up
Start-up must carried out by authorized personnel.
Switch on the power supply and check that the
indication on the IO 111 is as expected. If the signal
is OK, the system is ready for operation.
If not, check that
•
the SM 111 is connected correctly to the IO 111
(see the installation and operating instructions of
the IO 111).
•
all sensors are connected correctly.
First time voltage is applied, the SM 111 will read all
inputs to detect which sensors are connected. If a
valid signal is measured, the SM 111 will register that
a sensor is present and save the status.
If the IO 111 indicates a sensor error or configuration
error, the sensor detection must be changed.
1. Change DIP switch no. 9 on the IO 111 from OFF
to ON. See fig. 4. After approx. 5 seconds, the
SM 111 will reset, and the sensor detection is
completed.
2. Set the DIP switch to OFF.

5. Maintenance
The SM 111 requires no maintenance.
6. Service
The SM 111 cannot be serviced. Replace the SM 111
in case of fault.
