4.4 Checking the oil level

1. Connect the handle (pos.18) to the rod (fig.
, pos. 9).
2. Connect the handle (pos. 18) with rod (fig.
, pos. 9) to the
assembled oil pipe (pos. 27).
, pos. 11) with intermediate fitting
(fig.
, pos. 5) from the assembled oil pipe (pos. 27).
4. Connect the sight glass with fittings (fig.
, pos. 2) to the
four-way tee fitting on the assembled oil pipe (pos. 27).
5. Completely loosen the handle (pos. 18).
6. Close the lower isolating valve (pos. 26).
7. Fit the assembled oil pipe (step 4) in the lower oil plug space
.
8. Open the upper isolating valve (pos. 31).
9. Slowly fasten the handle (pos. 18) until the oil level is visible
in the sight glass (pos. 32).
10. Wait until the oil level has stabilised.
11. Check the oil level marked "MIN" according to the pipe column
diameter. See fig.
, detail A.
12. After the oil level check, loosen the handle (pos. 18) to close
the non-return valve (pos. 25).
13. Open the isolating valves (pos. 26 and 31) and drain the
remaining oil from the sight glass (pos. 32) into an appropriate
waste disposal container.
14. Disassemble the oil pipe and place it in the suitcase (fig.
) for
storage.
15. Fit oil and casing plugs (fig.
, pos. 21-24).
