6. Identification
The fire pump set can be identified by the type designation on the nameplate. See fig. 8.
6.1 Type keys
An explanation of the type designation is given in the following subsections.
6.1.1 Type key for fire pump set
The first example shows a fire pump set with a DNF end-suction
pump driven by an electric motor. The pump with stuffing box with
internal barrier fluid is FM-approved and UL-listed. The diameter
of its DIN flange on the discharge side is 80 mm, and the impeller
diameter is 260 mm. Pump and motor are connected by a
standard coupling. Operation takes place via a controller placed
on the common base frame.
