4.3 Connections for flushing
system
4.3.1 Quench design
GRUNDFOS pumps with a quench are equipped with a lip
seal. The unpressurised flushing liquid flows between the
mechanical seal and this lip seal.
Connect the lines as shown in Fig. 8.

Connect the lines in such a way that a liquid supply is
guaranteed.
Connect the flushing system in this way:
1. Connect inlet line A (see fig. 8).
2. Connect outlet line B.
3. Check tightness of connections.
