Assemble Rafters
ASSEMBLE RAFTER
After site is prepared and an inventory of parts is complete,
continue with rafter assembly.
NOTE:
All rafter assemblies include rafter tubes and purlin clamps. Consult
rafter diagrams in Quick Start section before and during assembly.
• Assistance is required for easier rafter and frame assembly.
• Secure all splices using Tek screws.
• Wrap screws and slices with duct tape.
Gather parts:
• Rafter pipes: LPT166ES1W20, LPT166PS1W20, & 166S0755
• FA4472B Tek screws
• 100442 magnetic nut setter
• Duct tape
STEP 1:
Select rafter pipes to
assemble one rafter. See diagram
above and in Quick Start section. A
flat, level surface works best.
STEP 3:
Secure each rafter joint
using two (2) Tek screws.
Install
screws in a location that will not
contact cover when installed.
STEP 2:
Slide individual pipe sec-
tions together.
STEP 4:
Wrap splice and Tek
screws with duct tape to protect
cover.
