Refer to the following figures and descriptions to
become familiar with the basic controls and com-
ponents of this machine. Understanding these
items and how they work will help you understand
the rest of the manual and minimize your risk of
injury when operating this machine.

A. Print Head: Print head moves on X and Y axes
and deposits molten filament on build plate.
B. Nozzle: Extrudes molten filament at fixed
diameter.
C. Build Plate: Aluminum platform with glass
build plate, moves along Z-axis.
D. LCD Touch Screen: Shows print status and
machine menus. Touch icons on screen to
navigate. Refer to
Main Menu on next page
for more information.
E. SD Card Slot: Printer reads G-code from SD
card to print objects.

F. Feeder: Pulls filament from spool, into
Bowden tube and print head.
G. Bowden Tube: Prevents filament from bend-
ing and breaking as it enters print head.
H. Hobbed Gear: Attached to feed motor shaft.
Rotates to push filament through feeder
towards print head.
I. Tensioner:
Presses filament against hobbed
gear.
J. Filament Sensor: Detects filament. Printer
will not operate without filament loaded.
K. Power Button: Turns printer ON and OFF.
L. Power Connection: Port for power adapter.
M. USB Connection (Type B): Use USB type B
cable to connect printer directly to computer.
Can be used for direct printing and updating
firmware.
N. Spool Holder: Holds filament spool during
printing.
