PUTTING THE MACHINE INTO SERVICE

1) Check that the machine has not been damaged in transit.
2) Check the oil levels of the engine, hydrostatic transmission.
3) Check the tyre pressure:

1 BAR front wheels 4.00-8.

4) Rotate the driving handlebar.
5) Assemble the front wheel support and connect the wheel locking-cable (fig. 3 - fig. 4).

RUNNING IN - CAUTION!!

Change the engine oil and filter after the first 5 working hours.
Check that there are no oil leaks or slack screws, especially those which fix the blade.
After the first working hours adjust both the belt tension of the cutting deck and the brake (fig. 2 n

°

 1 - fig. 15).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before starting up the engine, always check that:
– the engine oil level is correct, fig. 5 (follow the maintenance manual);
– the oil in the hydraulic motor is at the correct level (fig. 6); the correct level is 12 mm underneath the bottom of

the tank;

– the travel lever is in the idle position (fig. 2 n

°

7);

– the engine cooling intake grilles are clean (fig. 7);
– air filter is clean, fig. 2 n

°

 15 (follow the maintenance manual).

– the mowing deck is clean;
– the hydraulic motor fins are clean (fig. 8);
– the blades are sharp and firmly fastened in place;
– the screw in the centre of the blade hub is securely tightened (fig. 9)
Fill the fuel tank using a funnel with very fine filter (fig. 2 n

°

 14).

STARTING UP THE ENGINE

Push the throttle half way in (fig. 2 n

°

 10)

– If the engine is cold, use the choke (fig. 2 n

°

 10 position “START”). Switch on the engine, pulling with strength.

– Once the engine has started, turn off the choke and wait for a few minutes to allow the engine to warm up.
N.B. When moving the mower from one place to another, you are advised to keep the cutting deck at the maximum
height setting.

STARTING WORK

Choose the desired cutting height by means of the lever 8 fig. 2. Suitably accelerate the engine and engage the
PTO lever (fig. 2 n

°

 1) pull the lever (fig. 2 n

°

 7). Gently operate the forward travel lever (fig. 2 n

°

 2) and start work.

To stop, leave the forward travel lever (fig. 2 n

°

 7) and the PTO (fig. 2 n

°

 1).

– The lever (fig. 2 n

°

 2) is used both to choose the work-speed and to reverse. When it is moved back, the machine

moves backwards; always operate it gently.

PARKING BRAKE

To engage the parking brake locking the steering brake levers with the proper lock, fig. 2 n

°

To adjust the parking brake using the registers (fig. 5).
In the model without the steering brakes, block the lever with the proper lock and adjust the cable, working on the
register, which is on the lever (fig. 2 n

°
