18. Select More.
19. Enter the Seeds per Pound value provided by the
seed supplier.
20. Set the High Pop Alarm to 20%. This is the rate
above the target population that triggers an alarm.
21. Set the Low Pop Alarm to 20%. This is the rate
below the target population that triggers an alarm.
22. Set Pattern to EVERY ROW ON unless planting split
rows.
23. Set the Row Fail Rate to 2/ 1 s/sec. This means 2
seeds every 1 second is the blockage detection
threshold.
24. Press the CTRL SETUP key to return to the
Control Setup menu. Set up any additional seeds as
desired.
25. Press the CHAN SETUP key.
26. Select Channel 1.
27. Change the Type to GRAN SEED CONTROL.
28. Select the desired Material Name from the list.
29. Control Mode should be set to Auto.
30. Drive Type should be PWM 1.
31. Drive Frequency should be 100 Hz.
32. Input Filter provides a setting for the amount of
filtering applied to the frequency feedback of the
control channel.
It is NOT recommended that the Input Filter be manually
altered. Any adjustments could result in the channel not
operating properly.
33. Sensor Constant should be set to 360 pul/rev.
34. When switching from planter control to granular seed
control, the Gear Ratio will default to 1. Reset this
value to 1.9.
35. Set the # Seed Rows to the number of active rows.
36. Channel Width is the width for rows assigned to a
specific channel. The can be determined by active
row spacing multiplied by the active row count.
37. Precharge Time should be set to 0.
38. At the Channel Setup screen, press the VALVE CAL
key.
Follow the on-screen instructions to run a valve
calibration.
NOTE:
This is not the same as Spreader Constant calibration.

done any time the monitor is
switched into GRAN SEED CONTROL mode.
39. When the calibration is complete, press the
CHAN SETUP key to return to the Channel Setup
screen.
40. Press the CTRL SETUP key.
41. Press the material labeled SPLIT AIR.
42. Reset the target rate to the meter pressure
suggested by the charts on page 96 (typically 2.0 or
2.5 inches of water pressure).
43. Press the Work Screen key to return to the main
work menu.
