4. Use the tractor lift circuit lever to lower the center
frame of the planter.
5. When the center frame of the planter is fully
lowered, tap the Active Center Lift softkey so
center lift hydraulic system is no longer active.
6. Set tractor lift circuit lever to “Neutral”.
7. Relieve hydraulic pressure.
8. Set parking brake, set tractor gear in “Park”, turn
off tractor, and remove key.
9. Locate the left-side hydraulic lift cylinder.
10. Disconnect the hydraulic hose (1) attached to an
elbow fitting (2) on the hydraulic lift cylinder rod-
end (A). Use a small collection container to
capture any fluid.
Planter Damage Risk
When installing the check valve note the
orientation (B) as indicated the following
illustration. Failure to install the check valve
in the correct orientation will result in
significant planter damage from an
unbalanced planter at risk for toppling and falling.
11. On the hydraulic hose (1), attach the adapter (3),
check valve (4) in the correct orientation (B), and
adapter (5). Then, attach adapter (5) to the elbow
fitting (2) on the rod-end (A) on the hydraulic
cylinder.
12. Wipe down any hydraulic fluid on the planter.
