8-004 The Boring Head Does Not Descend
only with the Ecopress-Pneumatic
- Turn off the main switch.
- Check the pneumatic lead cable.
- Check the air pressure in the machine with the pneumatic gauge; it should indicate 5.5 - 6 bar.
- Check if all the pneumatic lines inside the Ecopress are plugged in and if the pneumatic lines
are damaged.
- Release the pneumatic connection (1) by pressing in the rings (2) (illustration 8-004-01) and
pulling out the pneumatic hose. When the start button is activated, compressed airshould be
expelled from the disconnected pneumatic line.
Caution:
Keep hands clear of the danger zone of moving parts. If compressed air
is blowing out, then the problem lies with the pneumatic cyclinder.
If no compressed air blows out, then the problem probably lies with the start valve or
perhaps with the pneumatic cylinder.
-If none of these points are successful, then a pneumatic specialist should be consulted. For wiring diagram,
see chapter 4-006.
8-005 Parts Do Not Fit The Drill Patterns When Inserted
illustration 8-005-01/02
Drill a hole pattern. Turn off the main switch. Mount one of the corresponding insertion dies and place on a part
which is to be inserted. Swing the insertion arm downward. Adjust the pressurized air on the pressure reducing
gauge to 2 bar. Try to insert the part.
a.) If the part is too far to the left or right:
Loosen the screw (1) (illustration 8-005-01) with a 4 mm Allen wrench. Move the die to the left or right.
Tighten the screw again.
b.) If the part is too close to the fence:
Loosen the hexagon nut (1) (illustration 8-005-02) with an open end fork wrench 8/10 mm.
Unscrew the Allen head screw (2) in a counter clockwise direction. Then tightenthe hexagon nut again.
b.) If the part is too far away from the fence:
Loosen the hexagon nut (1) (illustration 8-005-02) with an open end fork wrench 8/10 mm.
Screw the Allen screw (2) in a clockwise direction. Tighten the hexagon nut again.
