If there is a bend in one of the ink tubes, ink will
not be supplied to the printhead.
Check whether there is a bend in the ink tubes
connected to the ink tank, or in the inlet tubes.
The color profile is not
correct.
Check whether the color profile matches the
media being used. Be sure to use a color profile
that matches the media.
Printhead adjustment has
not been performed.
Follow the printhead adjustment procedure
described in this manual.
Incorrect ink selection.
Check whether genuine Graphtec ink is being
used with the printer (See section
VII.1
Setting the Printhead Drive Voltage
).
The printing platform is dirty. Clean it.
The reverse side of the
media is dirty.
The media was taken up
before it was dry.
If the drying fan is not operating, there is not
sufficient time for the ink to dry. Be sure to use the
drying fan.
If the data has a high printing density, the drying
time may not be sufficient. Choose one of the
following solutions.
Reduce the printing density of the data.
Reduce the printhead carriage speed.
Increase the number of passes.
Incorrect feed adjustment
Perform the feed adjustment procedure
described in this manual (See section
VII.9
Media Feed Amount Compensation
).
Incorrect printhead position
adjustment
Perform the printhead position adjustment
procedure described in this manual (See section
VII.7 Adjusting the Positions of Printheads of
the Same Color
, and section
VII.8 Adjusting
the Positions of Printheads of a Different
Color
).
Black streaks or white
streaks appear in the
printed results.
Nozzles are not firing or a
jet trajectory error has
occurred.
Print the nozzle check pattern to check the
nozzles (See section
VII.6 Printing the Nozzle
Check Pattern
).
If there are several nozzles that are not firing,
perform a printhead cleaning operation (See
section
VII.6 Printing the Nozzle Check
Pattern
).
