maintenanCe
For Battery operated versions the battery should be replaced every 5 years or
sooner if it has ever been run flat. The operator uses a 12V 7Ah Gel Battery
that is commonly used in alarm systems and general purpose. They can be
purchased from Grant’s Automation or most Automotive parts suppliers, alarm
suppliers, electronic and battery shops.
Open the cover every year or so and check the operator is clean inside and that
the output gears are greesed. These are exposed when the cover is off and
require only a small amount of normal automative greese, which can be wiped
on with a finger if it’s a little dry.
Spray around the operator with Baygon Surface Spray to deter any bugs.
DO NOT SpRAy ANyThiNG ON The eleCTRONiC CiRCuiT BOARD !.
The Battery is located in the Operator (Master for double gates) so the cover
must be removed first and the battery simply slides out and battery terminals
unplugged.
