- In case of a potential drop, open the door by
the manual puller, down on the left.
Before opening the door make sure that the
drum has come to a complete stop, that the
water has been drained and the temperature
is lower than 40

°

C.

- Before any maintenance or cleaning ope-
ration, check that the wall cut-off switch is
off and the hot water, cold water and steam
cocks are closed  (the latter applies to steam-
heated machines only).
- Do not load the drums with fabrics that
have been cleaned, dampened, washed or
stained with inflammable or explosive sub-
stances. Otherwise, hand-wash them first.
- Keep inflammable liquids far from the
washing machine, in dry and ventilated
premises, out of the reach of outsiders.
- Keep cleaning products and washing pow-
ders far from the machine, if possible, closed
in a cabinet.
- Do not hamper air inlets or heat-exchang-
ing openings. Keep an appropriate distance
between the machine and the walls or other
objects.

7.7 ALARMS

All alarms are shown on the TIME display.

1) Door open alarm: the "START" button
will not cause the machine to start a cycle
and the "PROG" key will not cause the
programming mode to be entered. The time
display will read intermittently "door" for 3
seconds and then it will resume its ordinary
readings.

2) Alarm E1: water in the tub.
If water in the tub is detected before starting
a cycle, all functions are disabled.
The alarm will disappear as soon as the
water level reaches below the safety level.
The cause certainly involves the drain (make
sure that the solenoid valve is clean and in
good working order) and the built-in level
pressure switch.
3) Alarm E2: Water level alarm
The water level required for the specific
programme has not been reached after water
has been taken in for 5 minutes. This alarm
signal will automatically disappear as soon
as the tub receives the required amount of
water. This alarm has no effect on the cycle,
which is resumed as soon as the correct
water level is reached. The causes may be
insufficient pressure in the mains, a blocked
filter in the drain solenoid valve or a leak in
the same (water is taken in but it is simulta-
neously drained and it consequently fails or
is slow to reach the required level).

4) Alarm E3: Drain alarm.
Water has failed to drain below the safety
level after one minute. The cycle will be
resumed after the water has reached below
the safety level, with no effect on cycle
completion. As for the causes, see alarm E1.

5) Alarm E4: Heating alarm
After heating for 20 minutes the temperature

has not risen by at least 5

°

C, but the cycle

proceeds normally. This alarm will auto-
matically disappear as soon as the tempera-
ture reaches the established threshold. The
cause may be an incorrect connection of the
heating elements, scale or lint existing on the
heating elements. It is also advisable to check
that the hot water inlet has been properly
connected: if the cold and hot water inlets
have been mistakenly inverted, heating times
will be abnormally increased.
6) Alarm E5: Overtemperature alarm - dis-
connected temperature probe
Water temperature has exceeded 95

°

C or the

temperature probe is either broken or dis-
connected and the wash cycle is aborted.
This alarm may be cancelled only by switch-
ing the machine off and then on again.

7) Alarm E6: Door lock alarm
Ten seconds after cycle start the door has
failed to be locked (the door is not closed ten
seconds after the START button has been
pressed). The wash cycle is aborted and the
alarm status can be cancelled only by press-
ing the "START" button again. Possible
causes: the door may not be closed properly
or the door microswitch may be damaged
owing to handle misuse.

8) Alarm E7: Door alarm
Door damage is detected during operation:
the wash cycle is immediately aborted and
the tub is drained. Normal operation may be
resumed only by switching the machine off
and then on again.

9) Alarm E8: Level probe alarm
The level probe is damaged and the wash
cycle is aborted. If the pressure switch should
be damaged during operation, all procedures
will be interrupted. The cause of this alarm
is surely the level probe.
If power should fail for more than 3 seconds
during operation, as soon as power is re-
stored, all machine lights and displays will
flash and all functions will be disabled for
one minute. As soon as normal operating
conditions are restored the cycle that was
under way when power failed will be started
back again and the displays will resume their
normal functions. Conversely, the cycle will
be aborted if the door is open when power is
restored.
WARNING: if the ON-OFF switch is
pressed when a cycle is in progress, the
machine will behave as if a power failure
has occurred, i.e. as explained above.
The machine is equipped with a motor and
electrical board overload cutout. The former
is automatic reset type, whilst the latter is
reset only manually. When the former trips,
the drum stops so that it will be necessary to
restart the machine. If the latter trips,
instead, the motor stops only during
spinning.
WARNING: IF DURING OPERATION
ONE OR MORE ALARM SIGNALS
SHOULD APPEAR ON THE DISPLAY,
RESORT TO AN AUTHORISED AFTER-

SALES SERVICE OR TO YOUR DEALER
TO SOLVE THE ALARM CAUSES
(WHENEVER THIS IS POSSIBLE) BE-
FORE RESUMING OPERATION.

7.8 INFORMATION ABOUT SPECIAL
MEASURES FOR USE AND
PROTECTION

When carrying out the first cycle, verify the
following:
- Soap dispensers must stay clean:
• dispenser A after taking in pre-wash water
(cycles 1, 2, 3, 8 and 9  only);
• dispenser B after taking in wash water;
• dispenser C after taking in water for the last
rinse.
- Remove all soap made solid during storing.
- Perform a 90

°

C cycle to remove all manu-

facturing residues.
- The operator must be able to easily check
soap compartments. Place a platform if nec-
essary.
- Make certain that laundry trolleys are lower
than the door bottom edge.
- If need be, mount appropriate bumpers to
prevent trolleys from hitting and damaging
the door.
- Never open soap compartments when the
machine is taking in water or is heating.

7.9 ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
(to be carried out by the user)

BEFORE WHATEVER MAINTENAN-
CE JOB, DISCONNECT THE
MACHINE FROM THE POWER
MAINS USING THE WALL CUTOFF
SWITCH, SHUT THE HOT WATER
COLD WATER AND STEAM TAPS
(ON STEAM HEATED MACHINES)
AND MAKE SURE THAT THE
WATER HAS BEEN DRAINED OUT,
THE DRUM HAS STOPPED AND THE
TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE DRUM
HAS DROPPED BELOW 40

°

C.

The machine requires no special mainte-
nance, thanks to its ergonomic design and to
the use of very reliable, first-quality parts.
Periodically clean the external panels with a
damp cloth. Never use inflammable or abra-
sive products.

NEVER CLEAN THE MACHINE
USING WATER JETS.
BEFORE POWERING THE
MACHINE AGAIN THROUGH THE
WALL MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER,
PUT ALL THE REMOVED PANELS
BACK IN PLACE
