3  GETTING STARTED — SETUP AND GENERAL OPERATION GUIDELINES

OPERATING THE WHEEL LOCKS

The MRI Transport Wheelchair has two wheel locks — one on each rear 
wheel. To engage the wheel lock, push the lever forward until it locks into 
place. To disengage, pull back on the lever until the wheel rolls freely.

UNFOLDING AND FOLDING THE TRANSPORT WHEELCHAIR

  WARNING: Read warning label, shown above, located on seat rails: Do not wrap hand 

around seat edge when opening or entering the chair.

  WARNING: When folding or unfolding the transport wheelchair, do not place your fingers or 

hands under the seat rail.

  WARNING: Do not sit on or transfer into the transport wheelchair unless it is fully open and 

the seat rails are fully seated.

  WARNING: Do not lift the transport wheelchair by the arms, footrests, or any other 

detachable parts.
