AC P
ANEL
The Freedom 285 receives an AC panel with the optional convenience package which
inlcudes a battery charger, and shore power hookup. The panel is located on the aft wall of the
starboard console. AC powered switches are noted below..
AC Powered Accessory Switches
The shore power cord must be connected to shore and the circuit breaker, located under the aft
starboard gunwale, must be in the “on” position to allow these auxiliary switches to operate.
• AC Main
The main power switch, located at the top of the AC panel, must be in the “on” position to
distribute power to the following accessory switches.
• Battery Charger
This switch operates the on-board battery charger.
• Grill
This switch furnishes power to the grill located in the starboard wetbar.
C A U T I O N
120V AC presents a high voltage shock hazard. All power supplies should be turned off and
disconnected before accessing the wiring behind the AC panel. Service to the AC wiring should be
performed by a qualified marine electrician.
NOTE:
BATTERY CHARGER PROVIDES CHARGE TO ENGINE/DC ACCESSORY
BATTERY AND OPERATES WITH SHOREPOWER ONLY.
INVERTER BATTERY IS RECHARGED AUTOMATICALLY BY THE INVERTER
WHEN CONNECTED TO SHOREPOWER AND AC MAIN IS ON.
GRILL MAY OPERATE BY SHOREPOWER OR INVERTER.
REFER TO BOAT OWNER'S MANUAL FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. BOAT IS EQUIPPED
WITH A DC TO AC POWER INVERTER. DISCONNECT
INVERTER DC INPUT BEFORE SERVICING BOAT'S
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS.
