O
UTRIGGERS
Outriggers allow you to spread the fishing lines trolled from your boat and decrease the
chance of entanglement.
• Advantages
Advantages of outriggers include: offering bait throughout a larger area behind the boat, plac-
ing bait out of the wake zone, automatic drop back following strikes (which allows for fish to
completely accept bait) and a reduction in unnecessary twisting action characteristic of artifi-
cial bait.
• Instructions
For proper installation and use, reference the instruction sheet included in your “Owner’s
Packet”.
• Care And Maintenance
Outriggers should be washed with fresh water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Never use acidic or
abrasive cleaners to clean your outriggers.
A periodic waxing of the outriggers is suggested if your boat is frequently exposed to salt
water. The wax will provide a protective coating and seal the pores of the metal. A non-abra-
sive high quality marine or automotive wax is recommended. Always clean and wax the out-
riggers before storage.
During assembly, grease all threads, bolts and tubes where one section is inserted into another.
Disassemble and regrease all applicable surfaces on an annual basis.
