Slide the nut (82a) onto the fluid hose, followed
by the front ferrule (82b), and then the back
ferrule (82c). The wider side of each ferrule (82b,

9.
Pull the nut (82a, 82b, 82c) back from the end of
the hose. Insert and push the hose (FT) down
onto the tube compression fitting (82) until it
is fully seated in the fitting body (82d). Use a
wrench to tighten the fitting to 55 in-lb (6.2 N•m).
10. Thread the strain relief ferrule (38) into the strain
relief housing and tighten to 55 in-lb (6.2 N•m).
To avoid cutting the hose, do not overtighten.
11. Make sure that the ball valve (39) is open (handle
up) to allow fluid to flow.
12. Reinstall the electrostatic shield (12) inside the
cabinet.
13. Close the cabinet door and use a flat blade

The system relies on a pneumatic paint trigger signal
to know when to dispense paint. When the paint
trigger signal is removed it knows it can begin the
refill process.
1.
Tap into the paint trigger air line going to the
spray gun.
2.
Run a 5/32" air line from the spray gun's paint
trigger line to the HydroShield.
3.
Plug the 5/32" air line into the paint trigger input
(PTI) port on the right side of the system.
