Replacing the Lower Encoder (continued)
1. Place the encoder screw into the left rear
wheel hole on the carriage so the
encoder
wheel
is between the rear wheels.
2. Tighten the
encoder screw
with the 4 mm
Allen wrench.

3. Turn the encoder
lock collar
(shown in
blue) to point up. Then tighten the
lock
collar screw
with the 2.5 mm Allen
wrench.

To plug in the lower encoder, take the free
end of encoder cable (shown in blue) and
pull it through the
open slot
in the bottom
carriage behind the wheels.

1. Plug the lower encoder cable into the
green encoder port
on the left rear of the
machine.

functioning correctly by following
the instructions for the “Encoder
Test” on page 79.
