Before
fi
rst use
• Remove all packaging material and any protective
fi
lm used to secure it during trans-
port.
Never remove the type plate or any warnings!
• Before enjoying the
fi
rst food to be cooked, we recommend doing a test run to re-
move any residue left over from production: Let the device heat up for approx. 15
minutes at the highest temperature setting without anything inside (see “Operation
and preparation” chapter”). Make sure the room is well ventilated!
During initial startup, production-related additives (e.g. grease) can lead to slight
smoke and/or odour development. This is normal and not a defect of the device.
• Clean the device and all accessories thoroughly (see “Cleaning, Care and Storage”
chapter).
Set up and connect the device
NOTICE!
■
Never place the device on a soft surface. The ventilation slits on the bottom of the
device must not be covered. Otherwise it could overheat and become damaged.
■
Unwrap the connection cable fully before connecting the device.
■
Ensure that the connection cable is not crushed, kinked or laid over sharp edges, and
that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces (e.g. the device).
■
The power cord must not hang down from the installation surface, in order to prevent
the device from tearing down.
■
Only connect the device to properly installed sockets with earth contacts that match
the technical specs of the device. The socket must also be easily accessible after
connection, so that the network connection can be quickly disconnected.
■
The device has rubber feet. Some furniture is covered with material that could affect
the rubber feet. Place a pad underneath the device for safety purposes if necessary.
1. Place the device on a dry, level, solid and heat-resistant surface with a clearance of
at least 20 cm on all sides and at least 30 cm above.
2. Plug the power connector into a socket. A signal tone will sound and all elements on
the display will light up once. Then all elements will disappear until the 4 indicator
lights (
23
) come back on.
Safety equipment
• The device is equipped with an internal timer. After the time set on the timer has
elapsed, the heat supply will automatically switch off. To switch the device back on,
press the
button (
8
)
(see “Operation and preparation” chapter).
• The device automatically switches off when the drawer (
4
) with the basket insert (
3
)
is pulled out of the device. All elements will disappear from the touchscreen (
10
). If
the drawer is inserted back into the device, a signal tone will sound and all elements
will light up. The previously set programme and the previous time set on the timer will
continue (see the “Handling” and “Operation and preparation” chapters).
