• Lay the cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not
allow the cable to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen work-
top. Someone could catch him/herself and pull down the device.
• Make sure that the mains cord does not get pinched, kinked or
laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot
surfaces.
• Do not move the device when in use.
• Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stoves or
ovens to prevent damage to the device. Do not place any open
fl
ames, e.g. burning candles, in the direct vicinity of the device,
cord and plug.
• Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong
percussions.
• Do not pull or carry the device by the cord.
• Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe
changes in temperature, moisture, wetness or direct sunlight.
• Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean
the device. They could damage the surface.
• Never spray cold water on the glass door of the device during or
directly after use. The glass could shatter as a result.
• Always keep the glass door closed when the device is operating.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the open glass door or the
device.
• Always place the hot baking sheet, the hot grate, the hot pizza
stone or the hot crumb tray on a heat-resistant base.
• Make sure that the heating elements do not come into contact
with food. If food does burn onto the heating element, pull the
mains plug and let the device cool off completely before you
remove the burnt-on food. Do not use any sharp or pointy
objects like knives or forks for this.
• Meals of excessive size, metal foil packages or tools may not
be placed in the device because they could cause a

• Do not insert foods packed in cling

lm or plastic bags in the
device.
