Software

The system can be configured via software programmed within the antenna. In or

-

der to use it start a terminal program on your PC.

6.1 Terminal Program

In  the  following  we  refer  to  the  program 

HyperTerminal

®

  (

Hypertrm.exe

),

which is part of the scope of supply of Microsoft® Windows® 95/98/NT®. We use
this program on one hand because many users dispose of it, and on the other hand
because it is very easy to use thanks to the configuration files we deliver.

Nevertheless, any other terminal program can be utilized, provided that it contains
VT52 emulation. If you should use a different program, please read the documenta

tion and adjust it to the values shown below.

6.2 Parameter Presettings

Dependent upon what you want to do (starting the monitor program or the software
update), different parameters are necessary. When you are using HyperTerminal, you
do not need to enter these and can go on to section 6.3 on page 34.
