Insert an MP3 or WMA disc into the CD slot. The display will show "CD PLAY" then "READING"
followed by either "MP3 T 01" or "WMA T 01" depending on the file type of the first track.
Notes:
LOADING A CD
- An MP3 directory is shown in this manual as
“Folder”, and an MP3 file is shown as “Track”.
- Maximum length of file name : 28 characters.
- Maximum length of folder : 16 characters.
- Maximum number of tracks per disc : 254.
- Maximum number of folders per disc : 128.
- Sampling Frequencies support : 32KHz,
44 KHz, 48KHz.
- Bit Rates support : 64 - 320KHz including VBR.
- Supports Multi-Session recording.
- Supports CD, CDR and CDRW.
- Disc written by Packet Write (UDF) is not supported.
NAVIGATING FOLDERS AND TRACKS
By track Number
Press the MP3 Search button once. "MP3 T*" shows in the display. Rotate the VOLUME
button to select the desired track number, then press the MENU/ENTER button to confirm.
By Folder or Track Name
Press the MP3 Search button twice. "*" shows in the display. Rotate the VOLUME button to
select the first character of the desired folder/track. Press the MENU/ENTER button to confirm
and progress to the next character.
Continue adding each character in turn, then press and hold the MENU/ENTER button to
search for the desired folder/track.
If a partial folder/track name is entered, all folders/tracks containing matching characters will
be selected. Scroll through these by pressing the Track UP/Down buttons or by rotating the
VOLUME button. Press the MENU/ENTER button to select.
To select Folder first
Press the MP3 Search button 3 times. The Disc volume (name) will be shown briefly, followed
by the first folder name. Scroll through the folders by pressing the Track UP/Down buttons or
by rotating the VOLUME button. Press the MENU/ENTER button to select.
The display will show "\\" Scroll through the tracks by pressing the Track UP/Down buttons or
by rotating the VOLUME button. Press the MENU/ENTER button to confirm the desired track.
Access folders using Folder UP/ Folder Down buttons
Press the Folder UP/Folder Down buttons to navigate through the folders contained on the
disc.
During MP3 playback, the current track number and track name will be shown alternately in the
display.
Additional ID3 tag information (if included on the disc) can be shown in the following sequence by
pressing the BAND/ID3 button:
Music (song)
Artist
Album
The corresponding icon will illuminate in the display and will remain lit for 5 seconds.
