Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing
bowl. Blend thoroughly.
Spread mixture evenly in a glass loaf dish. Cover
with waxed paper. Microwave at Power Level 7
for 25 to 34 minutes, or until center is no longer
pink. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serv
ing.
Makes 6 servings.
Stuffed Flank Steak

cup finely chopped onion
1
clove garlic, pressed or finely chopped
V« cup butter or margarine

10-ounce package frozen
chopped spinach, thawed and
well drained
'A teaspoon ground thyme
1A teaspoon salt
'A teaspoon pepper

beef flank steak, about
1'A pounds cut in half
1
cup strong beef broth
1
10Vi-ounce can condensed
cream of mushroom soup
'A cup white wine (optional)
1. Combine onion, garlic, and butter in a 1'A-quart
glass bowl. Microwave, uncovered, at Power
Level 10 for 5 to 7 minutes, or until onion is soft,
stirring once. Stir in spinach, thyme, salt and
pepper. Cover. Microwave at Power Level 10 for
3 minutes, stirring once.
2. Pound flank steak with mallet to flatten. Spread
spinach mixture on steak and roll up like a jelly
roll. Tie with string or wooden picks. Place in a 9-
inch round dish.
3. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over
steak. Cover. Set microwave oven at Power
Level 10 for 15 minutes. Turn steak over, cover
and cook at Power Level 4 for 30 to 40 minutes
or until tender. Let stand, covered, for 10 min
utes before serving.

Veal Paprika

pound boneless veal round steak, cut into

cups sliced fresh mushrooms

cup chicken broth

tablespoon paprika

teaspoon salt

teaspoon pepper

cup dry white wine or dry sherry

tablespoons flour

to 1 cup sour cream
1. Combine veal, mushrooms, chicken broth, onion,
and seasonings in a 3-quart glass casserole.
Cover. Set microwave oven at Power Level 10
for 5 minutes, and then Power Level 4 for 29
minutes.Stir twice. If veal is not fork-tender,
microwave at Power Level 4 an additional 12
minutes.
2. In small bowl, blend wine and flour together until
smooth. Stir into veal. Cover. Microwave at
Power Level 10 for 2'A to 4 minutes, or until
sauce is thickened. Stir in the sour cream.
Reheat, if necessary, by microwaving at Power
Level 4 for 2'A to 4 minute, stirring every minute.
Do not allow to boil or sour cream will curdle.
