For models with a decompression valve (n.1 fig.2), to facilitate starting, push the
lever down, turn the starter key to "2" and release the lever. When the engine
has started, release the key.
4.7.3 Fuses and battery
Before changing a fuse, find the cause of the short circuit and eliminate it.
Replacement fuses must be the same type and have the same rating-ie, 8
Ampere.
Check the electrolyte level in the battery and top up as necessary so that the
elements are covered. Add distilled water with the engine off and with no open
flames nearby. Check clamp fixing and grease them with vaseline. Keep the
battery clean and, if the machine is to be inactive for a long time, store the
battery in a dry area.
