OPERATION
Check switch-off time during the dry-wet test
If an LED flashes for
Release
, the limit indicator test device is ready to check switch-off time.
•
If the PTC thermistor of the limit indicator is immersed in the operating medium, the LED
must change to one of the LEDs in
Range 3
be
tween ≤ 1.0 and ≤ 1.5 seconds.
•
If this does not happen, the limit indicator is defective.
•
The display
> 1.5 seconds
applies to the relevant switch-off time of the test basis specified
in the usability certificate issued by a building inspectorate (general building-authority
approval abZ or CE label) (see Table 1 Applicable standards).
1st yellow LED for
heating
flashes
switch-
off time ≤ 1.5 seconds
2nd yellow LED for
heating
flashes
switch-
off time ≤ 1.3 seconds
3rd yellow LED for
heating
flashes
switch-
off time ≤ 1.2 seconds
4th yellow LED for
heating
flashes
switch-
off time ≤ 1.1 seconds
1st green LED for
release
flashes
switch-
off time ≤ 1.0 seconds
1st red LED for
short circuit
flashes
switch-
off time > 1.5
seconds

If the function test indicates a switch-off time of
>
1.5 seconds, the limit indicator
must be replaced.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Fault signal
Action
LED lit in case of short circuit or
disruption
check polarity
connect plug to the limit indicator
connection properly
LED lit in case of short circuit and
disruption
the heating phase was too fast
(less than 5 seconds)
Red LED of the battery display is lit
connect the battery charger
Battery display alternates between green
and red during the function test
connect the battery charger
Release is not possible if the PTC thermistor of the limit indicator is immersed in the operating
medium of the tank.
