START-UP
After the product has been ASSEMBLED and LEAK TESTING has been carried out
successfully, it is immediately ready for operation.
The product can be damaged if the gas cylinder is moved!
Entrained liquid phase can cause the pressure to increase in the LPG system and damage
the product or the LPG system.
Do not move the gas cylinder while the system is in operation.
A pressure regulator must be connected to the outlet side of the changeover
valve to reduce the nominal connection pressure of the consuming device.
We recommend:
Low pressure regulator
Safety equipment
Part no.
Type FL 90-4
with OPSO and PRV
05 004 00
Type FL 91-4
with OPSO and PRV
05 104 00
Type FL 92-4
with PRV
01 004 00
For larger flow rates to 12 kg/h we recommend this regulator:
Type BHK 052 (e.g. Part no. 05 298 00 or 05 299 00) or combination AUV with low pressure
regulator 50 mbar with OPSO (SAV) Part no. 05 087 03.
OPERATION
Cylinder replacement during operation
1. Set the changeover device so that the arrow
GREEN
is pointing to the cylinder(s)
on the spare side. (Always turn the rotary knob
as far as it will go to the reserve side.)
2. Close the cylinder valve of the empty gas cylinder
2. Loosen the connections to the gas cylinder
4. Replace the empty cylinder with a full one and connect the full one.
The gas non-return valve prevents the gas flow from escaping through the free
connection
during cylinder replacement.
5. Open the cylinder valve.
6. Check for leaks.
7. The full cylinder is available as a spare.
The gaskets at the inlet connections (if provided) must be replaced when re-assembling!
Make sure that the gaskets sit properly in the mounting and that the screws are tightened.
The LPG cylinder(s) must be upright when gas is being withdrawn.
Gas is withdrawn only from the gaseous phase.
The gas cylinder(s) must be secured so that it cannot topple over.
Protect gas cylinder(s) against radiant heat or heat from heating appliances.
Observe the installation regulations in the respective countries.
OPERATING
If the cylinder system is operated permanently without a reserve cylinder being
connected, the open connection on the automatic changeover valve must be closed tightly
with a sealing screw (part no. 50 410 31).
