Example of application: Four-cylinder system to operate with large cylinders
Low pressure regulator with safety overpressure shut-off valve (OPSO) and pressure relief
valve PRV, GS excess flow valve, automatic changeover valve type AUV and hose lines and
pipes upstream from the changeover valve.
LEAK TESTING
Risk of burning or fire.
Serious burns to the skin or damage to property.
Do not use an open flame to check for leaks.
Leak testing before start-up, check the product connections for leaks.
1. Close all shut-off fittings on the gas appliance.
2. Slowly open the gas vapour or the gas cylinder valve(s).
3. Spray all connections with a foam producing substance according to EN 14291
(e.g. leak spray, item no. 02 601 00).
4. Bubbles will form in the foam producing substance if there are any leaks.
If more bubbles form, re-tighten the connections (see ASSEMBLY). If
you cannot stop the leaks, you must not use the product.
Observe the applicable national installation regulations for LPG systems.
Simplified leak check
Check the cylinder system for leaks every time you replace a cylinder or if the system has not
been used for some time.
1. The gas cylinder valves on the operating and reserve side are closed.
2. The visual indicator type AUV is
RED
.
3. The gas supply to the connected consumer equipment is closed.
4. Open the gas cylinder valves on the operating and reserve side.
5. The visual indicator type AUV changes from
RED
to
GREEN
.
6. Close gas cylinder valves on the operating and reserve side.
The visual indicator type AUV must not change within 15 minutes (from
GREEN
to
RED)
, otherwise the cylinder system has a leak!
