THE ION EFFECT
Molecules that are contained in the sucked in ventilation are negatively charged in the ionic
hairdryer (ionised) and transported to the hair with the “heated ventilation”. The negative
ions have an effect on the hair, which causes the water drops to break down into smaller
units and therefore dry more evaporate.
• faster drying time
• less drying out of hair due to shortened drying time
• reduced damage due to extremely shortened heat effect
A second and significant effect is that the hair can absorb the tiny water drops better, in
contrast to normal water drops.
This absorption results in the scaly structure of the hair being smoothed. The following
positive effects result from the smoothed surface structure:
• Hair becomes smoother, softer and more supple
• Hair receives new shine
• Hair is easier to brush and style
• Hair is less likely to be frizzy, break and knot.
• Hair is better protected from UV rays
The absorption of moisture additionally has the following effects:
• Revival of the hair structure
• Reduction of static charge
The negatively charged ions contained in the heated ventilation encounter the water
droplets in the hair. The negative charge of the ions results in the hydrogen bridge bonds
in the water droplets being broken up and the water being broken down into smaller units.
THE ION EFFECT
The “dry” hair is comparable to dried clay soil and has a rough and scaly surface. Only the
finely vaporised moisture is in a position of being able to permeate the hair and smooth out
and close the surface.
USE OF THE HAIRDRYER
The hairdryer is equipped with two 3-level switches with the following switch positions:

For fast hair drying, it is recommended to first use the appliance for a few minutes on a high
heat level, in order to then switch down to the lower level and shape the desired style.
For setting curls/waves, use the „Cool-Shot” button (cool level button). The „Cool-Shot”
button (cool level button) can be used at low and high heat ventilation level. Keep the „Cool-
Shot“ button (cool level button) pressed down during use.
