Remote Start Board – Instructions for Use
Starting the TEG using the Remote Start Board
Press S1 (Start) or apply a remote SCADA Start signal across SI1 of the Remote Start for
a minimum of 10 seconds.
Stopping the TEG using the Remote Start Board
Press S2 (Stop) or apply a remote SCADA Stop signal across SI2 of the Remote Start for
a minimum of 10 seconds.
Resetting a Locked-Out SI Controller
1. Press S3 (Reset) or apply a remote SCADA Reset signal across SI3 of the Remote
Start for a minimum of 10 seconds
2. To start the TEG following a Reset, wait a minimum of 10 seconds then follow the
steps specified above
Measurement Displays of the Remote Start Board
1. Press S5 (Display) to enter the Display mode. Each press of S5 (Display) rotates
through the available measurements, listed below. The corresponding LED indicator
above the display will also turn on.
i) L8 Indicator – The external voltage level is displayed (Vext).
ii) L10 Indicator – The voltage read on input V2 is displayed (V2). This will be near
zero if input V2 is unused.
iii) L11 Indicator – The temperature of the optional external temperature sensor input
is displayed (TEMP). If no temperature sensor is connected it will display
[ERR] instead.
2. Further presses of S5 (Display) will exit Display mode. When running off battery
power it will also automatically time-out and exit Display mode after a moment of
inactivity.

Note: After making changes to these dipswitches, ensure the board is power cycled for at least
five seconds, as the dipswitch settings are only scanned during powerup.
