COMMENTATORS UNIT COAXIAL CABLE SPECIFICATION
SPECIFICATION
One of the major features of the Glensound Electronics commentators equipment is its use of a single
coaxial cable to connect each box to the base station. This cable must meet certain specifications for the
system to perform correctly. The loop resistance, the delay and the frequency response of the cable are
the limiting features. To enable customers to determine the suitability of any cable the following is the
specification to be met by the total length of cable between any commentators box and the base station.
LINK SPECIFICATION
Connectors are: UHF fixed sockets (BNC to special order)
Cable Impedance 75ohms
Maximum DC loop resistance 22ohms
Maximum delay 2.5microseconds
Maximum attenuation 15dBs at 10MHz
This equipment has been tested with several different proprietary cables.
