SPECIFICATION FOR SIGNALS FROM COMMENTATORS

BOX TYPE GSOC24 TO BASE STATION TYPE GSOC26

NOTES

The GSOC24 is a new improved version of our GSOC4. It is entirely compatible with the original GSOC4 and can
be used with any of our original base stations (GSOC3, GSOC5 or GSOC8) as well as with our new base station
type GSOC26

LINE UP

All faders in the GSOC26 hold 10 dB at line up.

FREQUENCY RESPONSE

Frequency response is measured from, the MIC I/Ps of the Commentators unit, to the PGM O/P of the Base
Station.

Better than +1 / – 2dB from 40 Hz to 11kHz

NOISE

Noise is measured at the PGM O/P of the Base Station.  Each base station fader set to line up in turn.  Bandwidth is
20Hz to 20kHz.  Measure with respect to output Line Up level. (normaly 0dBu). I/Ps are terminated in 300 ohms.

MICS at any gain ( 40 to 60dB)

better than – 60dB unwtd quasi peak

DISTORTION

Total Harmonic Distortion is measured from, the MIC I/Ps of the GSOC24 to the PGM O/P of the Base Station.
I/P = - 60 to – 40dBu.   Frequ = 300Hz to 3kHz.

THD < 0.4%

CROSSTALK Co-ord out to PGM out

This is measured with mic A input at the GSOC24 set to produce a level of  0dBu at the programme output of the
GSOC26 with the A fader at line up. The other faders are closed. The mic A input is then removed and it’s input
terminated with 300 ohms. Tone is then fed to the co-ord input of the base station GSOC26 and it’s level set to
produce 0dBu on the monitoring meter. Crosstalk is then measured at the programme output using a narrow band
filter.

Crosstalk at 1kHz

Less than –70dB

Crosstalk at 10kHz

Less than –60 dB
