Loop Injection with Automatic Valve
use the six-way automatic loop injection valve to manually load the sample in the sample
loop and inject it automatically in the column. refer to
pLC with autosampler Configuration
on page 93 when using the GX-241 Liquid Handler as an autosampler.
the sample loop should be loaded when the system is stopped or during an equilibration
phase. in both cases, the red LeD
Load
light will be activated.
to inject the sample in the column:
1. fill a syringe with the desired volume of sample.
2. Place the syringe in the Luer female fitting in the top position of the injection valve
(Port 1).
3. Load the sample into the sample loop. any surplus will flow through the waste tubing
(Port 2).

When the injection mode
Valve Injection
is selected in the method edition (refer to the
Gilson Glider Prep Software (GGP) User’s Guide
), the sample is automatically injected
before the elution phase starts, as indicated by the green LeD
Inj
. light. the sample is
pushed into the fluid path and is pushed into the chromatography column by the
solvents used.
